I clearly remember from childhood how I would earn pocket money by cutting grass and weeding borders in our neighbours’ gardens. I’ll never forget my sense of excitement, achievement and wonder when I became confident enough to experiment with rearranging a garden space. Simply moving features to more appropriate locations and adding some focal points completely transformed a space from appearing uninteresting to becoming considered, engaging and stylish. From then on I was hooked on making the most of garden spaces.
From my early days of garden maintenance, I have gone on to work with local authorities, charities, restaurants and both public and private commissions. I also spent 4 years working on the BBC2 television series Gardener’s World. My design commissions have included gardens ranging in size from tiny courtyards to country estates, restaurant interiors, new builds and listed buildings.
I continue to get immense pleasure from helping clients improve their gardens and increase the enjoyment they get from them.
Please do contact me if you’re thinking about how to bring new life into your garden. I look forward to hearing from you.
