Geoffrey Carr                                     Award Winning Garden Design

About Me

I founded my garden design and maintenance business in June 2005 shortly after I left my teaching position in the Applied Arts Department at Middlesex University. I have over 25 years design and horticultural experience, three of which were spent on a daily basis at 'Berryfields' the BBC Gardeners World garden in Stratford upon Avon. I have a BA (Hons) in design and a Higher National Certificate in Horticulture and Garden Planning. I am a Cotswold District Tree Warden and am registered with the Environment Agency. I am fully insured.

Whether designing a garden or carrying out regular maintenance, I assume responsibility for all aspects of each project, calling on a team of skilled and talented landscape builders when required.

My written work and photographs have appeared in Horticulture Week, The Garden Design Journal, The Tree Guardian, Landscape News and the BBC Gardener's World magazine and television programme. I also write a monthly gardening column for the Cirencester Scene magazine.

I am a regular contributor to the local radio station where I live in Gloucestershire. My shows have included Gardener's Question Time, A history of Cirencester Park, a guided tree route walk around Cirencester, a visit to the world famous Barnsley House garden, a programme about composting as well as a show dedicated to giving garden design tips.

My sculptural work has been shown regularly at the Art In the Garden exhibition held anually at the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens in Hampshire. I have also shown my garden furniture designs at the Westonbirt Arboretum Festival of Wood, the Hidden Art exhibition in London and the international biannual Art Outside exhibition held in Quennington, Gloucestershire.
